Amethyst Creek Farm currently offers international shipping to select destinations, including Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and certain European countries.

All international plant shipments are exported from the United States in compliance with applicable agricultural regulations and destination-country import requirements.

**International orders are accepted on a best-effort basis. Amethyst Creek Farm reserves the right to cancel and refund any order if export requirements cannot be satisfied or if destination-country regulations change prior to shipment.**

🌍 International Plant Orders

All international plant orders are shipped:

• Bare root only
• During our normal July–October shipping season
• Subject to inspection, certification, and export approval requirements

Plants are not shipped in pots, soil, or growing media.

 

📋 Phytosanitary Certification

Most international destinations require a Phytosanitary Certificate issued by agricultural authorities.

International orders are subject to:

• Inspection prior to export
• Required phytosanitary certification
• Applicable export documentation

A Plant Handling & Compliance Fee will be applied to international orders to help cover these costs.

 

⏱ Export Timing

International shipments may require additional processing time to coordinate inspections, certifications, and export documentation.

Shipment dates may vary based on inspector availability, regulatory requirements, weather conditions, and carrier schedules.

 

💰 Duties, Taxes & Import Fees

International customers are solely responsible for any:

• Duties
• VAT or GST
• Customs fees
• Brokerage fees
• Import permit fees
• Other charges imposed by the destination country

 

These charges are not included in Amethyst Creek Farm pricing, shipping charges, or compliance fees.

Refusal to pay import charges does not qualify an order for refund.

All prices are displayed and charged in U.S. Dollars (USD). Customers are responsible for any exchange-rate conversions or foreign transaction fees imposed by their financial institution.

 

🚫 Import Restrictions

 

Agricultural regulations vary by country and may change without notice.

 

Amethyst Creek Farm reserves the right to:

• Refuse shipment to countries with prohibitive requirements
• Cancel and refund orders that cannot legally be exported
• Delay shipment pending inspection or regulatory clarification

 

🛡 International Shipping Risk

 

Once an international shipment has been accepted by the carrier and export authorities, delivery is subject to customs clearance and destination-country processing.

 

Amethyst Creek Farm is not responsible for:

• Customs delays
• Customs holds
• Import refusals
• Destruction of material by foreign authorities
• Additional inspections performed by destination-country agencies

 

Customers are responsible for understanding and complying with their country's import requirements.

 

Tracking information will be provided when available.

 

In the event of carrier loss or damage, any available insurance claims must be filed directly with the carrier.

If you would like your non-plant items shipped earlier:

👉 You may select a “Ship Now” option at checkout (additional shipping charges apply)

• Orders placed during the week typically ship within the same week

• Weekend or holiday orders ship the next business week

💡 Please note

• Orders without the “Ship Now” selection will be held and shipped together

• This approach helps reduce shipping costs and packaging waste

🌿 Live Plant Preparation

All plants are shipped bare root and are:

• Carefully dug, cleaned, and trimmed

• Inspected prior to shipment

• Prepared to minimize pests, disease, and unwanted seed material

We take every reasonable step to ensure plants are healthy and viable at the time of shipment.

🧾 Plant Handling & Compliance

A flat Plant Handling & Compliance Fee is applied to all plant orders.

This fee helps cover:

• Required inspections and certifications

• Regulatory compliance for shipping live plant material

• Applied once per order

• Non-refundable

• Includes shipping insurance

International orders may be subject to higher compliance fees due to export certification and inspection requirements.

🛡️ Shipping Insurance (Required)

Shipping insurance is required on all orders and is calculated based on the total order value.

We automatically include this as part of the processing fee. Due to increasing carrier delays, damage, and loss:

• Orders will not be shipped without insurance

• Amethyst Creek Farm is not responsible for packages once they are in the carrier’s possession

🚚 Carrier Responsibility & Claims

All shipments are sent via USPS (or designated carrier) with tracking provided.

Insurance coverage, when available, is intended to compensate for carrier loss or damage. Claims may require participation by both the buyer and seller depending on carrier procedures and the circumstances of the shipment.

We will provide tracking details and supporting documentation as needed.

Once an order has been transferred to the carrier:

• Delivery timelines are outside of our control

• We are not responsible for carrier delays, loss, or damage

• We are not responsible for packages exposed to extreme weather after delivery

 

🌦️ Weather & Delivery Responsibility

Shipping may be adjusted to avoid extreme weather conditions that could impact plant health.

Customers are responsible for:

• Providing a secure delivery location

• Monitoring tracking

• Retrieving packages promptly upon delivery

 

🌾 State Agricultural Compliance

Amethyst Creek Farm is a licensed and inspected nursery in the State of Idaho and complies with all applicable agricultural regulations.

• All plants are shipped bare root using standard horticultural practices

• Orders may be subject to state-specific, federal, or international inspection, certification, and regulatory requirements.

We reserve the right to delay, adjust, or cancel shipments as needed to remain compliant.
