Shipping Overview
At Amethyst Creek Farm, all plant orders are sold as pre-orders and shipped during our seasonal fulfillment window to ensure optimal plant health and quality. At this time, we are ONLY SHIPPING TO THE USA.

📬 Non-Plant Orders
Non-plant items (jewelry, books, décor, etc.) are shipped with your plant order by default to help keep overall shipping costs as low as possible.

These items will ship during our plant shipping season (July–October)

Orders are fulfilled based on overall order readiness and timing

If you would like your non-plant items shipped earlier:

Weekend or holiday orders ship the next business week

🌿 Live Plant Preparation
All plants are shipped bare root and are:

Carefully dug, cleaned, and trimmed

Inspected prior to shipment

Prepared to minimize pests, disease, and unwanted seed material
We take every reasonable step to ensure plants are healthy and viable at the time of shipment.
🧾 Plant Handling & Compliance
A flat Plant Handling & Compliance Fee is applied to all plant orders.
This fee helps cover:

Required inspections and certifications

Regulatory compliance for shipping live plant material

Applied once per order

Non-refundable

Does not include shipping insurance
🛡️ Shipping Insurance (Require)
Shipping insurance is required on all orders and is calculated based on the total order value.
Due to increasing carrier delays, damage, and loss:

Orders will not be shipped without insurance

Amethyst Creek Farm is not responsible for packages once they are in the carrier’s possession
🚚 Carrier Responsibility & Claims
All shipments are sent via USPS (or designated carrier) with tracking provided.
In the event of loss or damage:

Claims must be filed directly with the carrier

Any reimbursement is paid to the buyer, not Amethyst Creek Farm
We will provide tracking details and supporting documentation as needed.

Once an order has been transferred to the carrier:

Shipping may be adjusted to avoid extreme weather conditions that could impact plant health.
Customers are responsible for:

Providing a secure delivery location

Retrieving packages promptly upon delivery
🌾 State Agricultural Compliance
Amethyst Creek Farm is a licensed and inspected nursery in the State of Idaho and complies with all applicable agricultural regulations.

All plants are shipped bare root using standard horticultural practices

Orders may be subject to state-specific restrictions or inspection requirements
We reserve the right to delay, adjust, or cancel shipments as needed to remain compliant.
At Amethyst Creek Farm, we believe in clear, honest shipping—no surprises at checkout.
Our shipping rates are built directly from real USPS Priority Mail costs based on the size and number of packages required for your order. We do not inflate shipping or use arbitrary flat rates.
How Shipping is Calculated
Shipping is based on:

The actual USPS Priority Mail box rate (Small, Medium, or Large Flat Rate)
-
The number of boxes required to safely pack your order
Every order includes a small $5 handling surcharge, applied once per order (not per box).
All plant / live items will be shipped in boxes ONLY. We do not ship live items in plastic mailers as it can lead to rot.
What the $5 Covers
This fee helps offset the real costs of preparing and shipping your order, including:

🌱 Careful handling and packing of live plants and our jewelry products.

📦 Packing materials (liners, cushioning, moisture control, bags, labels, etc.)

🛡️ USPS shipping insurance coverage (included in every order for value of order)

🧾 Required agricultural inspections (when applicable by state)

🏷️ Labeling and order processing supplies

⛽ Operational costs (fuel, equipment use, and farm logistics)
Multi-Box Orders
As order size increases, shipping reflects the number of boxes required.
👉 The $5 surcharge is only applied once per order, regardless of how many boxes are needed.
👉 We do not add extra per-box handling fees.
