Zap

Zapin (Paul Black, 2003) is a standout SDB iris reaching 9" (23 cm) and blooming midseason. This award-winning variety features claret standards with darker veining and matching style arms. The velvety black cherry falls are accented by a narrow iridescent band and subtle white veining near the large, bright yellow gold beards. Ruffled petals and a slight sweet fragrance add to its appeal. A sibling to Exotic Aire, Zapin received an Honorable Mention in 2006 and an Award of Merit in 2009. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
