Zany (Mary Dunn, 1987) is a remarkable tall bearded iris that commands attention with its singular, painterly patterning. Reaching 36" (91 cm) and blooming midseason, Zany features crisp white standards adorned with irregular blue-violet markings, while the falls echo this artistry with unpredictable blue-violet splashes—no two blooms are ever the same. The subtle pale yellow beard adds a refined touch to its ruffled, sculptural form. With its dynamic, graphic coloration and gallery-worthy presence, Zany is a true conversation-starter and a collector-grade addition to any iris bed.
