You're So Veined

‘You’re So Veined’ (Richard Tasco, 2020) is a tall bearded iris reaching 35" (89 cm) and blooming in the early midseason. This award-winning variety features aster violet standards and style arms, with the style arms showing a darker crest edge and a touch of white on the sides. The falls are a deep violet with a white ground around and below the beard, dramatically veined in dark violet and finished with an aster violet rim. The beards are based white, transitioning to burnt orange in the throat and middle, and ending in aster violet. Heavily ruffled petals add texture and visual interest. Bred from (‘Smoky Shadows’ x ‘Tango Amigo’) X ‘Haunted Heart’, ‘You’re So Veined’ has received both an Honorable Mention (2022) and an Award of Merit (2024). Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
