Yosemite Nights

Yosemite Nights (Sutton, 2004) is a tall bearded iris reaching 32" (81 cm), notable for its dramatic color contrast and elegant form. This reblooming variety offers early, midseason, and late blooms, extending its garden presence. The standards and style arms are a rich plum overlaid with black, while the falls are deep black edged with a subtle hint of plum. Beards are a unique blend of black, violet, and gold, set against a black-purple base. The ruffled blooms are complemented by a slight musky fragrance. Yosemite Nights is a cross between Magician’s Apprentice and Hello Darkness, and was awarded an Honorable Mention in 2008. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
