Wrangler (Harold Stahly, 1997) is a remarkable intermediate bearded iris that commands attention with its bold, color-forward design and sculptural ruffling. Reaching 25" (63 cm) in height and blooming midseason, Wrangler features medium deep red-brown standards and style arms highlighted by a yellow base and violet midrib and crests. The falls are a vibrant medium violet, dramatically framed by medium deep red-brown shoulders and a distinct 3/8" marginal band, all accented by brown beards. This captivating, exhibition-grade iris—descended from Woodward Centennial x Plum Perfect—earned an Honorable Mention from the American Iris Society in 2000.
