Wonders Never Cease

Wonders Never Cease (Paul Black, 2007) is a tall bearded iris reaching 40" (102 cm), blooming early to midseason. This award-winning variety features elegant white standards and style arms, with falls displaying a white ground intricately lined and dotted in plum rose over the haft, transitioning to a pale sanded wash at the center and a deeper wash on the lower falls. The near-white rim adds a refined finish, while white beards tipped in yellow provide a subtle accent. Ruffled petals and a slight sweet fragrance enhance its garden appeal. Wonders Never Cease is the result of a cross between Time Will Tell and a Dream Of Gold x Epicenter seedling. Recognized with an Honorable Mention in 2009 and an Award of Merit in 2011.
