Wish Upon A Star

Wish Upon A Star (Paul Black, 2006) is a celebrated SDB iris reaching 13" (33 cm) in height, introduced by Mid-America and honored with multiple awards, including the Cook Douglas Medal in 2013. This variety features early to late bloom and is noted for its pronounced sweet fragrance. The standards display a rich dark blue-purple blending into deep claret, complemented by dark claret style arms. Falls are a dramatic dark purple-black with a slightly lighter haft and edge, while the large blooms are accented by pale cream gold beards tipped with white.
