Wild Thing

‘Wild Thing’ (Schreiner, 1995) is a tall bearded iris reaching 38" (97 cm), introduced by Schreiner in 1995. This midseason bloomer features heavily ruffled, deep maroon claret (RHS 72A) self petals, complemented by maroon claret and yellow style arms. The vibrant yellow beards finish with a touch of purple at the end, and the blooms are noted for their pronounced sweet fragrance. Parentage is unknown. ‘Wild Thing’ received an Honorable Mention from the American Iris Society in 1998. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
