White Hot (Richard Tasco, 2008) is a tall bearded iris reaching 37" (94 cm) with early midseason bloom. This award-winning variety features crisp, cold white standards and falls, accented by a subtle yellow edge on the shoulders formed by bold yellow-gold veining. The beards are a vivid persimmon orange (RHS 28A), adding a vibrant contrast. Lightly ruffled petals and a slight fragrance enhance its garden appeal. Bred from Martile Rowland crossed with a seedling from Taj Regis x Green And Gifted, White Hot received an Honorable Mention in 2010 and an Award of Merit in 2012. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
