Vivid Sunset (Thomas Johnson, 2023) is a commanding tall bearded iris that lives up to its name with a radiant, painterly palette. Reaching 38" (96.5 cm) and blooming early to midseason, this cultivar features gold and rose-blended standards edged with a gold band, luminous gold style arms, and rich burgundy falls highlighted by a wide lilac rose band and a second, narrower gold edge. The fuchsia-based, orange-tipped beards add a bold pop of color, while a slight sweet fragrance enhances its garden appeal.
