Underlined

Underlined (Keith Keppel, 2021) is a tall bearded iris reaching 35" (89 cm), blooming midseason with a sophisticated color palette. Standards are a rich martius yellow, complemented by matching style arms with crests heavily streaked in bistre green. The falls are light martius yellow, lightening to cream at the center, and edged with a sharp ¼" band of eggplant, with petunia tones near the hafts. Dandelion-yellow beards and ruffled form add to its appeal, while a slight sweet fragrance enhances the garden experience. Bred from a complex lineage including High Desert, Underlined was introduced by Keith Keppel in 2022 and received an Honorable Mention in 2024. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
