Tunnel Vision

Tunnel Vision (Keith Keppel, 2010) is a tall bearded iris reaching 38" (97 cm), blooming in the early midseason. This award-winning variety features dark reddish mulberry purple standards with a subtle cream underlay at the base, complemented by lighter prune purple style arms. The falls display a dramatic 3/4" to 1" dark grape purple outer band and dotting, with a light velvet texture and a central blaze of light martius yellow accented by fine grape speckles. The haft area is marked by a smaller white ground, veined and speckled in grape tones. Spanish yellow beards transition to a layered effect of yellow, violet, and violet-white, creating a unique greyed mustard finish. Tunnel Vision was recognized with an Honorable Mention in 2012 and an Award of Merit in 2015. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
