Tonantzin

Tonantzin (Howard Dash, R. 2020) is a tall bearded iris reaching 35" (89 cm), blooming in the late season. This variety features elegant standards in pale blue, nearly white, with a refined wheat-toned edge, complemented by matching pale blue style arms edged in wheat. The falls are a deep, rich purple with intricate veining over a white ground and a subtle, faintly colored edge. Bright orange beards add a vivid accent, and the blooms offer a slight fragrance. Bred from ‘Dipped in Dots’ crossed with a select seedling, Tonantzin was introduced by Picacho Mountain Iris in 2021. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
