Thunderation (Hugh Stout, 2022) is a commanding tall bearded iris that delivers a dramatic garden presence with its extraordinary color play and sculptural ruffling. Reaching 32" and blooming midseason to late, this memorable variety features wisteria purple standards with dark veining, pale style arms edged in a dark wire rim, and falls that transition from a mid-violet center to rich dark plum, finished with a luminous 1/8" wisteria edge and white veining at the haft. The beard is boldly striped brown and white with yellow-orange tips, adding a vivid accent.
