Thors Lightning Bolt

Thors Lightning Bolt (Walt Dean, 1996) is a truly remarkable Tall Bearded Iris that electrifies the garden with its bold, gallery-worthy presence. Towering at 30-32" (76-81 cm), this midseason standout features saturated purple standards and dramatic white style arms tipped and veined in purple for a painterly effect. The rich purple falls are accented by a vivid orange beard, forked at the tip and confined to the throat, then transforming into a striking white, spear-shaped extension that runs two-thirds down the fall and ends in a petite purple horn—an unmistakable, sculptural detail. A subtle musky fragrance adds refinement to its already captivating allure. With its prestigious parentage ('Trick Or Treat' X 'Too Many Flounces') and an AIS Honorable Mention in 2000, Thors Lightning Bolt is a collector-grade showpiece for those seeking a dynamic, conversation-starting addition to their landscape. No rebloom reported. Attributes: Historic, Rebloomer Awards: Honorable Mention
