Theatre (Keith Keppel, 1981) is a tall bearded iris reaching 34" (86 cm), blooming in the early midseason. This award-winning variety features vervain-hued standards and falls with a white ground, beautifully overlaid with a purple heather dotted wash. The beard transitions from white to lemon, adding a subtle highlight. Theatre is recognized for its elegant color contrast and refined patterning, earning Honorable Mention (1983), Favorite Guest (1984), and Award of Merit (1986).
