Texastude

Texastude (Hugh Stout, 2018) is a commanding tall bearded iris that brings a bold, gallery-worthy presence to any garden. Reaching 36–38" in height, this midseason standout features red-violet standards with fawn beige midribs and a faint fawn edge, complemented by red-violet style arms tipped in amber. The falls are a dramatic, very dark oxblood red, flared and edged in fawn beige, with luminous amber-yellow veining around the beard. Beards are based in purple with bronze-orange tips, adding a vivid, painterly touch. Ruffled petals and a pronounced musky fragrance make Texastude a memorable, collector-grade bloom.
