Teagan

Teagan (Donald Spoon, 2008) is a memorable SDB iris that brings a dynamic, color-forward impact to any garden. Standing at 15" (38 cm), this reblooming variety is celebrated for its early bloom and reliable rebloom performance in USDA Zone 6. The pristine white standards and style arms create a luminous contrast to the blue-green falls (RHS 115C/D), which are delicately edged and marked with lighter tones and a touch of yellow-green (near 151C) at the hafts. The beards offer a painterly gradient—white tipped with light tangerine at the end, deepening to medium and then darker tangerine in the throat—adding a vibrant, graphic accent. Slightly ruffled petals and a pronounced spicy fragrance elevate Teagan to exhibition-grade status. Bred from 'Winter Embrace' x 'Karen Jones', this cultivar has earned both an Honorable Mention (2012) and an Award of Merit (2015), underscoring its pedigree-worthy appeal. A true garden showpiece, Teagan is perfect for collectors and enthusiasts seeking a bloom with presence and a bold, refined aesthetic. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
