Tankini
$12.00
Tankini (Donald Spoon, 2004) is a gallery-worthy Tall Bearded iris that brings a vibrant, painterly flair to any garden. Reaching an impressive 38" (97 cm), this midseason to late bloomer features sophisticated yellow-tan standards infused with yellow-white (RHS 158A) and orange-white (159A) highlights. The white style arms are accented by two central lavender streaks and edged in old gold, adding a refined touch. Its luminous lavender-blue (90B/C) falls are flared, ruffled, and fluted, finished with a diamond-dusted sheen for an opalescent effect. Tangerine beards tipped with lavender at the distal end provide a bold, graphic accent. Lightly fragrant with a floral note, Tankini is a collector-grade, Honorable Mention-winning iris (2009), bred from Little John x Poem Of Ecstasy and introduced by Winterberry in 2005. A true centerpiece for the discerning gardener, available at Amethyst Creek Farm. Attributes: Edge Trim, Novelty, Ruffled, Space Age Awards: Honorable Mention
