T-Rex

T-Rex (Gerald Richardson, 2002) is a magnificent Tall Bearded iris that delivers a dramatic, sculptural impact in the late midseason garden. Towering at 38" (97 cm), this collector-grade variety features heavily ruffled, painterly blooms with luminous light blue standards and style arms, deepening to a richer blue flush. The falls showcase a blue-white base with elegant blue accents at the hafts, while blue-white beards tipped with gold add a refined touch. With a slight fragrance and a prestigious pedigree—bred from 'Honky Tonk Blues' x 'He-Man Blues' and honored with an Honorable Mention in 2004—T-Rex is a showpiece iris that brings a bold, gallery-worthy presence to any landscape.
