Swerti is a historic tall bearded iris, first described by Jean-Baptiste de Lamarck in 1789. This midseason bloomer is notable for its elegant white standards and falls, each delicately edged in blue—a color pattern that gave rise to the term "plicata." Swerti is considered a natural or garden hybrid, possibly a color form of Iris pallida, and has been cultivated since at least the late 16th century. Its refined pleated appearance and unique coloration make it a classic addition to any iris collection. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm. Attributes: Edge Trim, Historic
