Sweetwater Pie Burns

Sweetwater Pie Burns (Tom Burseen, 2013) is a tall bearded iris reaching 35" (89 cm) with a midseason bloom. This award-winning variety features champagne standards and style arms, delicately washed with gold and brown at the edges. The falls are cream-champagne, enhanced by textured veins and a wash of Mexican tan, finished with subdued gold rims. Its beards transition from orange in the throat to yellow in the middle and cream at the end. Sweetwater Pie Burns is notable for its extremely ruffled, laced, and flared form, and offers a slight sweet fragrance. Hybridized from Tango Amigo X Urban Riot, it has received both the Honorable Mention (2018) and Award of Merit (2023) from the American Iris Society. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
