Suky

Suky (Clarence Mahan, 1991) is a tall bearded iris reaching 37" (94 cm), blooming early to midseason. This award-winning variety features elegant white standards delicately flushed with light violet (RHS 86B) along the edges and a violet midrib. The falls display a rich medium to deep violet (83B) with a dramatic, very large pure white zonal area extending from the hafts nearly halfway down the petal. Accented by a white beard with yellow deep in the throat, Suky is beautifully ruffled and notable for its pronounced spicy fragrance. Bred from Violet Miracle x Victoria Falls, Suky received an Honorable Mention in 1993 and an Award of Merit in 1995. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
