Step Beyond

Step Beyond (Tom Burseen, 1991) is a tall bearded iris reaching 36" (91 cm), blooming early to midseason. This variety features standards in a blended light grape hue (RHS 85A to 88D), while the falls display a cream ground that is heavily stippled, washed, and streaked with grape (86A). The ruffled blooms are accented by gold beards and emit a spicy fragrance. Step Beyond is a result of a complex parentage, including Pencil Sketch, Barletta, Pinwheel, Théâtre, and Dazzling Gold.
