Standing Proud

Standing Proud (Schreiners, 2009) is a magnificent Tall Bearded Iris that lives up to its name with a bold, gallery-worthy presence in the late spring garden. This cultivar showcases deeply saturated pansy purple standards, style arms, and falls (RHS 77M), all lavishly ruffled for a sculptural, high-impact effect. The beards shimmer in blue violet, intensifying to bishop purple at the throat, creating a vivid, color-forward bloom that is both memorable and visually arresting. Reaching an impressive 36" (91 cm), Standing Proud is a bed-defining centerpiece bred from the distinguished cross of 'Emperor's Delight' and 'Brazilian Holiday.' With its extraordinary form and opulent hues, this iris is a collector-grade addition for those seeking a show garden quality iris with undeniable charisma. No rebloom reported.
