Spirit World

Spirit World (Keith Keppel, 1992) is a tall bearded iris reaching 36" (91 cm), blooming early to midseason. This award-winning variety features standards edged with irregular marguerite yellow, blending into thistle and deepening to english violet at the center. The falls display a marguerite edge, transitioning from coronation to velvety cyclamen with delicate pale veining and a small white area near the beards. The beards themselves are golden poppy to mikado with paler tips. Spirit World is noted for its pronounced sweet fragrance and has received multiple accolades, including the Honorable Mention (1996), Award of Merit (1998), and the Wister Medal (2001).
