Spiced Lemon

Spiced Lemon (Thomas Johnson, 2006) is a remarkable tall bearded iris that commands attention with its bold, color-forward presence. Reaching 38" (97 cm) and blooming midseason, this cultivar features brassy gold standards with a hint of ginger brown plicata at the base, complemented by light gold style arms. The falls display a luminous brassy yellow ground, accented by a narrow ginger brown plicata center line and band, intensifying at the haft for a dramatic effect. Brown beards and a slight fragrance add to its appeal. Bred from ‘Dream Of Gold’ x ‘Cinnamon Sun’, Spiced Lemon is a noteworthy addition to any garden, earning an Honorable Mention in 2008.
