Spartan

Spartan (Schreiner, 1972) is a tall bearded iris reaching 35" (89 cm), introduced by Schreiner in 1973. This midseason bloomer features rich, dark red self-colored standards and falls, with a clear red haft and matching beard. Bred from Seedling X Fireball, Spartan is recognized for its vibrant, uniform coloration and robust garden presence. Awarded Honorable Mention in 1974 and the Award of Merit in 1976.
