Smoky Dusk

Smoky Dusk (Keith Keppel, 2017) is a remarkable tall bearded iris that commands attention with its dramatic, color-forward presence. Reaching 39" (99 cm) and blooming midseason, this cultivar features nightshade-hued standards and style arms, contrasted by rich grape falls. A small, circular, reticulated white area beside the beard adds a painterly touch, while the beards themselves glow with a green-tinted lime-yellow. With its bold, high-contrast palette and refined form, Smoky Dusk is a collector-grade, exhibition-worthy addition to any garden. Honored with an AIS Honorable Mention in 2019, this hybrid (Adriatic Waves x Hearty Burgundy) is a testament to Keppel’s masterful breeding. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm. Awards: Exhibition Certificate, Honorable Mention
