Skyhopper

Skyhopper (George Sutton, 2002) is a gallery-worthy Tall Bearded Iris that brings a dynamic, sculptural presence to the garden. Reaching 37" (94 cm) and blooming in the late midseason, this cultivar features refined mauve standards and blue violet-mauve style arms. The falls are a vivid bluebird blue (RHS 94B), highlighted by a crisp white area veined in violet blue near the bold red-orange beard. A 1 1/2" fuzzy mauve horn, tipped in violet blue, adds a futuristic, space-age accent. Heavily ruffled and laced petals, paired with a slight sweet fragrance, make Skyhopper a true collector-grade showpiece. Bred from Tomorrows Child x Sky Hooks, this iris is a memorable addition for any enthusiast seeking a statement-making, pedigree-worthy bloom. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
