Secret Rites

Secret Rites (Keith Keppel, 2004) is a tall bearded iris reaching 40" (102 cm) and blooming in midseason. This award-winning variety features elegantly ruffled standards in pale grey-green, edged with brighter chartreuse yellow and highlighted by a greyed violet center. The style arms are a vivid chartreuse yellow, while the falls display a harmonious blend of chartreuse, citron, and pyrethrum yellow tones. Golden glow to deep chrome yellow beards add a luminous accent. Secret Rites is noted for its slight sweet fragrance and has received both the Honorable Mention (2007) and Award of Merit (2010) from the American Iris Society. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
