Sangiovese

Sangiovese (Howard Dash, R. 2022) is a commanding tall bearded iris reaching 33" (84 cm), blooming midseason with a remarkable color-forward presence. Standards and style arms glow in soft pink, while the falls are saturated dark burgundy, dramatically veined and highlighted by a crisp white zone beneath bold burnt orange beards. This hybrid, from the prestigious cross of Gypsy Lord X Tuscan Summer, delivers a painterly, gallery-worthy effect in the garden. Sangiovese is a memorable, pedigree-worthy addition for collectors and enthusiasts seeking a show garden quality iris with undeniable visual impact. Introduced by Picacho Mountain in 2023.
