‘River Hawk’ (Gordon Plough, 1978) is a tall bearded iris reaching 34" (86 cm), introduced in 1979. This variety features elegant flax blue standards and falls that blend royal purple and victoria violet, accented by a slightly lighter edge. The wistaria blue beard adds a refined touch to its sophisticated color palette. Blooming from early to late season, ‘River Hawk’ is a product of ‘Rain Shadow’ crossed with ‘Tropical Night’.
