Ringtone

Ringtone (Keith Keppel, 2011) is a dazzling Tall Bearded iris that delivers a gallery-worthy spectacle in the garden. Reaching 36" (91 cm) and blooming midseason, this cultivar is a true color-forward masterpiece: standards and style arms glow in radiant gold, deepening to goldenrod with a delicate peach blush at the base. The falls mirror this luminous palette, dramatically framed by a bold 3/8" to 1/2" band of rich kazak to algerian red, creating a painterly, high-contrast effect. Solid Indian orange beards provide a vivid, saturated accent, making each bloom a memorable centerpiece. With a distinguished pedigree—'Jazz Band' crossed with a lineage including 'Starship Enterprise'—Ringtone is a collector-grade iris recognized with an Honorable Mention in 2013 and an Award of Merit in 2015. Its vibrant, sculptural blooms are both photogenic and field-stopping, perfect for those seeking a bloom with undeniable presence and heritage. Photo evidence from Smokin Heights-Australia confirms reblooming in June 2025, making Ringtone a potential rebloomer (Rebloomer Unknown Zone). Available at Amethyst Creek Farm, this remarkable iris is ideal for gardeners and collectors who appreciate extraordinary color harmony and a dramatic stance in their beds.
