Respect

‘Respect’ (Thomas Johnson, 2019) is a tall bearded iris reaching 35" (89 cm) and blooming early in the season. This variety features elegant white standards with medium violet plicata dotting at the center, framed by a wide buff-gold band. The style arms are buff, complementing the pristine white falls, which are accented by a broad, near-solid deep purple band and a bold bar across the hafts. Vibrant tangerine beards transition to violet at the tips, and the blooms are enhanced by a sweet fragrance. A sibling to ‘Lavender Whirl’, ‘Respect’ was introduced by Mid-America in 2019 and received an Honorable Mention in 2021. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
