Rare Edition

Rare Edition (Keppel, 1980) is a distinguished tall bearded iris recognized for its award-winning performance and unique coloration. This early midseason bloomer reaches 24" (61 cm) and features standards in rich mulberry purple with a solid border, accented by a white ground with a few small speckles and a prominent midrib. The falls are crisp white, edged with a delicate 1/8" (0.3 cm) stitched border in the standards’ color, and finished with a blue-white beard faintly tipped in bronze. Rare Edition is the recipient of multiple honors, including the Honorable Mention (1982), Award of Merit (1984), and the prestigious Sass Medal (1986). Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
