Rainbow High

Rainbow High (Keith Keppel, 2009) is a tall bearded iris reaching 40" (102 cm) and blooming in the late midseason. This award-winning variety, honored with an Honorable Mention in 2011, features elegant standards in cream to pale yellow with a central lemon yellow glow. The style arms transition from lemon yellow to cream, accented by a faint orchid cast above the lip. Falls display a lemon yellow upper area with intricate reticulation, blending into a warm white below the beard and highlighted by a wide pleroma violet band edged in liver brown and a narrow sorghum brown rim. The beards are a deep chrome yellow, adding a vivid focal point. Rainbow High is a result of the Starship Enterprise x Rio cross, bred by renowned hybridizer Keith Keppel.
