Queen Dorothy (Earl Hall, 1984) is a tall bearded iris reaching 29.5" (75 cm), notable for its early to midseason bloom and reliable reblooming habit from August to November in Ohio. This variety features elegant white standards edged with a distinct 1/2" band of mid-violet (RHS 87C), while the falls mirror this design with a 3/8" mid-violet (87B) edge. The yellow beard is delicately tipped in white, and the lightly ruffled petals exude a subtle sweet fragrance. Bred from Perfume Counter X Re-Treat, Queen Dorothy was introduced by Halls Flower Garden in 1984 and received an Honorable Mention from the American Iris Society in 1987.
