Pussycat Pink

‘Pussycat Pink’ (Paul Black, 2006) is a standout SDB iris reaching 12" (30 cm) and blooming in the late midseason. This variety features vibrant, medium hot pink standards and falls, with the falls slightly lighter and accented by cocoa pink veining and sanded hot pink plicata markings near the beards. The beards themselves are white tipped with vivid hot coral pink, adding a bold contrast. ‘Pussycat Pink’ offers a slight musky fragrance and is recognized for its exceptional color intensity and unique patterning. Honored with an Honorable Mention in 2008 and an Award of Merit in 2011, this iris is also valued as a parent for producing a wide range of orange and pink bearded plicatas.
