Purple Pleaser

Purple Pleaser (Everette Lineberger, 1994) is a commanding tall bearded iris that delivers a memorable late midseason display. Reaching 40" (102 cm), this cultivar features rich purple standards and velvety red-purple falls, dramatically contrasted by a white reverse and a bold white triangle marked with prominent purple lines around the gold-tipped white beard. The ruffled form and slight fragrance add to its garden-showpiece appeal. With its painterly color contrasts and pedigree from Rose Shiner x Pops Concert, Purple Pleaser is a field-stopping, exhibition-grade iris that earned an Honorable Mention in 1999. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm. Attributes: Fragrant, Historic, Ruffled Awards: Honorable Mention
