Prom Date

Prom Date (David Toth, 2019) is a truly distinctive Tall Bearded iris, standing 34" (86 cm) tall and gracing the garden with its refined, gallery-worthy presence. This midseason to late bloomer features near-white, pale peach standards and matching falls, elegantly accented by pale peach style arms. The beards are a soft pale orange, each adorned with outward-pointing, fuzzy 1-inch horns in a delicate pale lavender tipped with white hairs—a remarkable novelty that sets Prom Date apart. A gentle, spicy fragrance adds a sophisticated sensory layer. Bred from 'California Dreamin' X 'King Tush', this iris is a testament to masterful hybridizing. Prom Date is a rebloomer, reported to perform in USDA Zone 8 fields in New Mexico, offering encore blooms and extended enjoyment for collectors and enthusiasts seeking a bloom with both pedigree and presence.
