Prince Of Pirates

Prince Of Pirates (Paul Black, 2000) is a tall bearded iris reaching 36" (91 cm), blooming in the late midseason. This variety features claret purple standards and plum style arms, with medium red-purple falls that deepen toward the edge. The hafts display red plum tones accented by a few white veins. Beards are dark blue-purple at the base and end, transitioning to gold and sulphur yellow in the throat. Lightly ruffled petals and a pronounced sweet fragrance add to its appeal.
