Powder Keg

Powder Keg (Lynda Miller, 2019) is a tall bearded iris reaching 39" (99 cm), blooming in the late midseason. This variety features smoky orchid standards with dark buff edges, apricot and dark plum style arms, and falls with a white ground heavily marked by dark red-violet plicata and a lighter wire edge. The beards are a vivid burnt tangerine, and the blooms offer a slight musky fragrance. Powder Keg is a seedling of Serving Wench X Action Packed, introduced by Mid-America in 2020 and awarded an Honorable Mention in 2022. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
