Polar Shift (Anton Mego, 2016) is a tall bearded iris reaching 38.5" (98 cm), blooming in the late midseason. This variety features ice white standards with slightly deeper edges, complemented by ice blue style arms. The falls are a rich cornflower blue, accented with subtle white markings around vivid orange beards and finished with a distinct ¼" ice white edge. The blooms are ruffled and carry a slight sweet fragrance. Bred from Decadence and select seedlings, Polar Shift was introduced by Sutton’s Iris Garden in 2016 and received an Honorable Mention in 2021. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
