Poetry In Bloom

Poetry In Bloom (Anna Cadd, 2021) is a tall bearded iris reaching 43" (109 cm), blooming early to midseason. This variety features light creamy yellow standards with delicate light brown veining and a deeper tone at the base. The style arms echo the creamy yellow hue. Falls display a crisp white ground, boldly accented by a red-purple plicata pattern, with three dark purple lines extending from the beard to the edge, surrounded by intricate lines and purple dots. The center of the falls is more lightly colored, and each petal is finished with a fine 1/16” brown-purple band. The beards are white at the base with yellow tips, and the blooms are notable for their pronounced musky fragrance. Poetry In Bloom is a cross between Tennessee Woman and Take Me Away, introduced by Santa Rosa Iris in 2021. It has received recognition as a Favorite Guest Iris in 2022 and an Honorable Mention in 2023. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
