Pippa

‘Pippa’ (Elizabeth Rieniets, 2016) is a truly singular SDB iris, standing just 8" (20 cm) tall yet radiating a gallery-worthy presence in the garden. Its midseason blooms are a painterly blend of light van dyke brown standards with a plum-washed center and a deeper midrib, while the royal purple style arms edged in sienna add a refined, boutique-caliber touch. The falls are dramatic—plum with maroon veining and a luminous white edge at the haft and shoulder—anchored by a vivid lemon beard with white-based, brown-tipped hairs. A pronounced sweet fragrance completes this remarkable, collector-grade iris. ‘Pippa’ is a field-stopping showpiece for any discerning gardener. Parentage unknown. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
