Piano Man

Piano Man (Lynda Miller, 2000) is a remarkable tall bearded iris that commands attention with its dramatic color contrast and refined form. Reaching 36" (91 cm) and blooming midseason, this cultivar features luminous white standards veined with buff and cream style arms edged in butter yellow. The falls are a deep, velvety plum-black, punctuated by a large, radiant white rayed spot and finished with old gold beards over a light purple base. With its bold, graphic pattern and commanding garden presence, Piano Man is a collector-grade iris and a true centerpiece for any landscape. Hybridized from Wench X Momentum and introduced by Millers Manor in 2001, it earned an Honorable Mention from the American Iris Society in 2003. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
