Petaloso

Petaloso (Elizabeth Rieniets, 2018) is a remarkable miniature dwarf bearded iris that commands attention with its painterly blend of color and form. This early to midseason standout features 4.5" blooms with wisteria-toned standards, delicately veined in violet-purple, and a bold, solid violet-purple center. The falls showcase a dramatic interplay of white at the haft, greyed lavender veining, and a deep wisteria ground, all accentuated by wide violet-purple veining and vibrant orange-red to blue-tipped beards. Petaloso’s pronounced spicy fragrance and dynamic, color-forward patterning make it a garden-showpiece and a collector-grade addition to any bed. Parentage unknown. Available at Amethyst Creek Farm.
